Amma Chocolate 100%

The black color in the wrapper is one of the things that predicts dark chocolate. The chocolate itself is also dark, but not really darker than many lighter dark chocolates.

The aroma isn't even close to what I would have expected from such a dark chocolate. Judging by the aroma, this could just as well be a 70% chocolate or anything between 70 - 100%. This actually smells just fine as there is really nothing to complain about in the aroma.

The chocolate feels very dry and smooth in my mouth at first, but some (not much) slipperyness appears after a while. By this time the taste is distracting me so much that it's difficult to think about the texture...

At first the chocolate is stuffy and gloomy. After a while I am actually hoping that that taste had stayed on instead of changing into a very pungent and (to be honest) repugnant one. I taste similarities to nail polish remover, turpentine and vinegar. Maybe some glue as well? There is really nothing positive about the taste of this chocolate in my mouth. The aftertaste is... no better that the taste.

Ingredients: Hard to say... since even the manufacturer isn't willing to tell me on their Facebook page. The wrapper states cocoa mass, cocoa butter & sugar but how could a 100% chocolate have sugar in it?

Kääreiden musta väri on yksi seikoista, joka saa odottamaan todella tummaa suklaata. Itse suklaakin on tummaa, mutta eipä tuota ainakaan ilman vertailupalasta erota selvästi vaaleammista tummista suklaista.

Suklaan tuoksu ei ole läheskään niin tuima kuin mitä prosentista saattaisi päätellä. Tämä voisi tuoksun perusteella ihan hyvin olla vaikka 70% suklaa tai mitä tahansa väliltä 70 - 100%. Tuoksu on miellyttävän kaakaoinen eikä siinä ole mitään varsinaisesti moitittavaa.

Suklaa tuntuu aluksi todella kuivalta, mutta jonkin ajan kuluttua sieltä löytyy hieman liukkauttakin, ei tosin paljoa. Maku häiritsee jo niin paljon, että koostumuksesta on vaikea paljon enempää sanoa...

Maku on alkuun vain tunkkainen ja synkkä. Hetken imeskeltyäni toivon että maku olisi pysynytkin sellaisena, mutta se muuttuu todella pistäväksi, suorastaan vastenmieliseksi. Maussa on hieman samaa kuin kynsilakanpoistoaineen hajussa. Ehkä tässä on myös hieman tärpättiä ja etikkaa mukana? Ja ERi-Keeperiä, kenties? Eipä tässä kyllä mitään positiivista makua ole. Jälkimaku on... no yhtä miellyttävä kuin maku.
